Donuts, the sun and smart homes?

What is a Tokamak... apart from a great Smart Homes business?
A Tokamak is a design for a fusion energy reactor. These machines generate energy by harnessing the same process (fusion) that powers the sun. The projects associated with trying to create fusion energy are highly inspirational, future focussed and collaborative at an international level. In addition, a tokamak is a product that is designed to output more energy than goes in.
In a similar way, a modern Smart Home is enabled via a fusion of many different components and technologies. These all need to work harmoniously together to make something that is far better than the sum of its parts. Smart Homes at present are futuristic, forward thinking and in many ways presently, both scientific and inventive.
The only difference is that a modern smart home is not just an inspiration, but a reality. So, the name Tokamak was catchy but also has deeper meaning.
Almost forgot the Tokamak logo.
It looks like a donut right – and who doesn’t like a donut? Well, Tokamak fusion reactors are a torus (donut) shape. Then, the dots and curvy line symbolise a chain, which links all the moving parts together and makes a machine work – just like all the components of a smart home coming together to work in smooth harmony.
It’s all connected!
